Happy St. Pats

Today is the day that every good little red-haired kid of Asian ancestry living in Montreal pulls out their Aran sweater and green corduroys and wears them to work. Maybe I should go out and get some Kilkenny for later.
It's the day one of the cheesiest pick-up lines is grossly overused. "Do you have any Irish in ya? Would you like some?"

Oh yeah. And last weekend they dumped their special mixture of kryptonite and plutonium into the Chicago river to turn it flourescent green. You should see the night pictures.

This also means that 'Irish season' here in Montreal will be coming to a close soon. And Cheney still hasn't bagged one.

Okay, what are your thoughts on green beer? To me, it's along the same lines as orange Oreos or holiday M&Ms. The original is awesome enough on its own, leave it alone!!!

Green beer always came across as a cheesey marketing attempt. 'Drink at our place, WE HAVE GREEN BEER!' I don't think I've actually every had some. Buttwiper or Harp with green food coloring in it just doesn't seem to make sense.

A restaurant near my office advertises pine beer. It's green I assume for real reasons. One of these days I'm going to try it if they still serve it.

As for the others, I'm not big on things that seem unnatural. M&Ms are fine. I don't see the point with the orange Oreos. That said, I did try the green Shrek ketchup and thought it was kinda cool. It made the eggs green a la Dr. Seuss.
