Wordpress - It's the New Blogger.

Nope, I haven't switched... yet. But if I did, it would look like this (without the flowers). I got curious the other night and created the blog and that header. But Blogger beta won't let me export to it. The ability to add a personalized header along with Dante's level of security would be my main reasons for switching. But I don't have the time to play around with it, so I need a "press this button" export feature for a relatively easy switch. Until then, I'll stay put. Don't update your RSS feeds and links.

I was planning on unveiling this after Xmas, but I like the look of it so much I had to open the present before.

Very nice on the new design. You may not be able to get rid of the flowers, however. Wordpress, unless you pay a little sum does not let you alter the CSS to your heart's content. But I think it's only a matter of time before you switch and for that matter, before someone comes out with a Blogger Beta easy-switcher.

I think wordpress has a plug-in to import from an rss feed (xml).

Thank you both for the advice. The end result will be to have my fully customisable blog on my own URL. But that will take time and money which is in short supply at the moment. I'll check on that rss feed import feature. That move may happen earlier than I thought.

If you install your own wordpress and download the latest 2.0 version, the blogger import plug-in is built-in.

Well Frank, if you were looking for another reason to switch to Wordpress, they've just decided to offer to everyone the "Snap" option - check it out on www.kollectif.wordpress.com - Amazing!!

Cheers!
